Autumn / Syksy 2019:
ZAREF
زريف
The journey from being a human to becoming a scapegoat - and from there on...
Zaref is a man who walks. He is one of the over 70 million displaced in the world. He might be all of them. His feet have turned into goat’s hooves, because he has been walking for too long. Little by little he is transforming from a human being into a scapegoat, asking where to go next.
Zaref is a theatre performance created by the Finnish-Palestinian S-H-A-Collective, dealing with the challenges of being a refugee. Zaref is based on artistic material partly collected in the Palestinian refugee camp Al-Arroub and on the script The Man Who's Walking (orig. L’Homme qui marche) written by the French author Sandrine Le Mével Hussenet. The performance raises questions such as how to find freedom, peace and a place to be and how to obtain a sense of belonging. These topics are explored through the actor Hazem Al Sharif’s own personal experiences and through his journey from his home being Al-Arroub to becoming Helsinki, Finland.
Performances in Cultural Center Caisa in Helsinki on the 10th and 11th of September 2019.

Zaref
Matka ihmisestä syntipukiksi - ja siitä eteenpäin...
Zaref on mies, joka kävelee. Hän on yksi maailman yli 70 miljoonasta pakolaisesta, ehkä he kaikki. Hänen jalkansa ovat muuttuneet vuohen sorkiksi, koska hän on kävellyt niin kauan. Hän on muuttumassa ihmisestä syntipukiksi ja kysyy, mihin mennä.
Zaref on suomalais-palestiinalaisen S-H-A-kollektiivin pakolaisuutta käsittelevä esitys, joka rakentuu mm. palestiinalaisessa Al-Arroubin pakolaiskylässä kerätylle esitysmateriaalille sekä ranskalaisen kirjailijan Sandrine Le Mével Hussenetin tekstille The Man Who's Walking (alkup. L’Homme qui marche). Esitys pohtii oman paikan, vapauden ja rauhan löytämistä, johonkin kuulumista. Teemoja lähestytään näyttelijä Hazem Al Sharifin omakohtaisten kokemusten kautta ja purkamalla näyttämölle hänen henkilökohtaista matkaansa Al-Arroubista asumaan ja elämään Helsinkiin, Suomeen.
Esitykset kulttuurikeskus Caisassa, Helsingissä, 10. ja 11.syyskuuta 2019.
